1971 maverick with 4 wheel drum..200...3 on the tree...just painted it white...runs great even after sitting 10 years...needs interior work...fun car to drive
this car has been so much fun and ive only had it for about 3 months i originally bought the car to have something to drive while fixin up my pickup my dad owns a body shop and the car was sitting in a lot next to his for over 10 years and since my dad moved to this shop about 9 years ago ive been interested in it becuz i didnt see many cars like it... it is my fith car to own and im 17 ..lol . im on a roll .... the maverick was sitting with four flats and surface rust everywhere there was a surface... it had all original wheels with hubs and the bias ply tires with a spare from montgomery wards in the trunk along with the jack... all the glass is good but the interior is a reck.. the body only had like 2 good sized dents but they were an easy fix.. .i just pulled out the filthy headliner and put truck seat covers over the front seats and black ductaped the back ...looks cool.... lol it has the 200 with the three on the tree with 85000 miles original ...runs like a new car after cleaning out the tank plus brand new drum brakes all the way around.... i painted it white a couple days ago and it made a difference .. but now i need some nice lookin four lug wheels if there is such thing... this car has kept me from getting my pickup finished but i cant help but to keep restoring it... so if anyone has some good ideas and tips ... especially good looking wheels and tires that are 4 lug please inform me....

Hey Mike, your car sounds great. I have a set of 4 lug wheels. They are new in box. I will try to get a picture up today.

you can get good power out of the 200 how much you want ? I`d say do a 250 swap but for the truble you could put a 302 or 289 just as easy .

BTW a cuple I6 sites www.fordsix.com (forum) and www.fordsixparts.com (as you would gess it has some realy c:cool:  l I6 parts)

thanks man ive been lookin for a website like that forever... ill probably try to fix up the i6 after talkin to my dad about a 289 swap he was like well you would have to have all the acessories and it might run a little high getting the motor plus all my pulleys and exhaust and carb...etc... unless i found a cheap parts car with the parts i needed.. but i really dont need another car i cant seem to finish the ones i have now... well thanks alot for the site it will help a bunch in the future
