Hello all, my name's Sarah and I like muscle cars. :drive: It's a bad habit I've had from childhood, so please forgive. :D

I'm actually trying to find myself several cars, a Maverick being one of them. So far my dream cars include an Olds Cutlass 68-69, Maverick70-74, Mustang Fastback 67-71, Nova 68-71, and a 2007 Shelby Mustang GT500. Ebay seems to be helping me with some, although the Shelby may be something for myself far into the future. ;) Right now I'm happily working on a 1950 Chevy Fleetline fastback with my boyfriend so have to put off my musclecar fandom!love, but I'm searching for that perfect car slowly but surely to ensure I get what I want. (aka, I haven't found it yet, whichever of the above I find first with the right specs and price range :yippee: )

Anyway, howdy folks and see you around!

So, where abouts are you in Southern Mississippi? I'm down here too...in Pascagoula.

Down near Gulfport actually! My bf's in Picayune, and he says he knows a lady who's got a Comet who he's trying to get in touch with. Prob is she's from NO so he doesn't know if she's still there or if the car's still there either. I'm not too worried, I'm bidding on Ebay for a nice looking (and running) '73 Mav but we'll see. Right now I'm focussed on his 50 Chevy which we've just about got started running; once we've got that we'll move onto the next part (likely the brakes; he wants to get the car street worthy yay!) but neither of us have a ton o' cash so... *shrug*

So hello back from So. Mississippi!!! :)

Hey, that's great. I plan on having a couple of my Mavericks at Cruisin The Coast this year. Maybe we can meet up with you guys and have lunch or something. I was thinking about trying to set up a Maverick Mini-Meet during CTC this year but I've been so busy running my body shop over here that I haven't even had time to think.
Yeah, you never know about the car in New Orleans. Good chance it got flooded. I had six of my cars over here (5 Mavs and a 70 Boss 302 Mustang) that got at least 4 feet of water. I sold the Boss, trying to save 2 of the Mavs, will part out or sell 3 Mavs, have since bought 3 more Mavs, went today and looked at another one...geez.:whew: My wife's really beginning to worry about me. But you know what??? A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do! :yup:

Oh yeah, one of my employees just bought a 53 or 54 Chevy. Looks like it's gonna make a pretty good street machine but what do I know...I'm just a Ford man. Awww heck, I guess I'll keep him anyway. ;)

Thanks guys, I'm staying on top of an Ebay car that ends today, but I haven't hit the reserve yet so I don't know if anything'll come of it. Just looking for one that runs (preferably runs good), I'm willing to sacrifice hp for a chance just to get my hands dirty (the one I'm bidding on is a 250ci I6).

Hey Ray, if this one falls through do you think you could find me a Mav local? I don't have much cash but I'd prefer she be running, do you have any leads that you yourself aren't following up on (you Mav addict you (y) )?

    Hi,

Nice to see another gal here. :Welcome: Ladies look good in Mavericks, so I hope you get one. Check out the Member's gallery.

Mavericks aren't real muscle cars, but if you find a nice 1972 Grabber V8, add dual exhausts and performance tires, you'll have a fast, reliable vehicle that looks the part.(y)

Hey gal! Yeah I realize their shortcomings but I still think they're good cars. Yes I want a huge 500hp engine one of these days, but I want to play a little until then. This seems like a good playing car, and it's pretty to boot!! I'm cautiously optimistic but if it falls through I've got other options. :)

And I think I'd look darn good in one of those cars. :drive:

I have no clue if I won this or not. (ebay auction) I didn't get to the reserve price but I still want to be optimistic. Hard to be that way though when Ebay says I lost. It's what I wanted mostly, in that it's fully intact and runs. Not the specs I wanted but something I could start on...

Much disappointment in this land tonight. :(
