I just talked to Chuck at CV Platers and I inquired about his process on fiberglass bumpers. He is working on the process as we speak. He thinks he will have things ready to go sometime in June or July. The price will be somewhere in range of $200. The chrome should be better than on plastic because he can bake it at a higher temp. He is designing a new machine to do the process, so it will take some time. He said to call back in mid June to see his progress. I think this would be great. We can save weight and have chrome.bananamanbananamanbananaman
If you have the latest Summit catalog read the article on the featured Impala it has chrome plated fiberglass bumpers on it. Don't have the catalog with me, not sure if it mentioned the platers name
I have never seen a mav crome grill i was under the impresion that they put 3 crome strips inserts that just went over the painted grill in not the whole grill itself does any one have a pic. of the whole crome grill
where do you get after market grills? my grill is broken in the corners only...where it has the mounting hole...i was figuring i could put new fiberglass on it so i could mount it.....i dont like the big gap in the front of the car.. any ideas??
I have a grill I found in a junkyard, that is broken. If I need some pieces, I cut them out and epoxy them in, sand and paint it black. Seems to work fine, lasted 5yrs so far.
I have three of the so called chrome grill's , one is ok (not great) and the other two are well let's just say so so, I 'dlike to have them redone if the price was right, i think these came on cars with the LDO!
