Chrome Plating bumpers

    Does anyone have a source for getting bumpers rechromed?? I just checked here locally, & it will cost me $350.00 to get the rear bumper done, on my '73 Comet.:eek: No way!!!! To much for my blood. Preferrably on the west coast. Don't want to pay an arm & a leg for shipping.

    I have used the above. easy on pricing and the quickest turnaround I have ever seen. Only cost me ab$30.00 shipping from IL to TX for both ways. I will use him in the future too. Also he cares about his work and called me to make sure I was happy.

    I use Tri City Plating out of Elizabethton, TN. 2 years ago they did my front and rear on my Sprint for $325. Quality was excellent. Mine were not bent up but did have a bunch of dings. They got them all out. I dropped off and picked up at Carlisle so I dont know what shipping costs are. 1-800-251-7536

    How close is Elizabethton to Atlanta? Anywhere near Chattanooga? Anyone know a Chrome Plater in the Atlanta, GA area? My front bumper could use a refresh ... Thx

    Dan , Earl was tellin me about one in the Atlanta area at the meet. That price Dennis got for 2 bumpers is far and away the best I've seen for a good job.

    Tri-Cities Plating is about 4 hours from Chattanooga. Great people to deal with and do a good job. Priced a rear bumper for my 72 Comet Tuesday. Straight bumper no rust $167.00. About 6 weeks to finish.

    Dan; got my front done at Southern about 3yrs ago, and it was $197 plus tax. Don't know if it is more now or what. I have to get the rear done, so I will be finding out. I will call or mail you when I get the quote.

    Dan; just got a quote from Southern--$220 for rear or front, with a 5 working day turn around. Not too bad. They did a good job on the front, so I probably will get the rear done in a month or so. Hope this helps.
