Which chrome you talking about? The stainless around the windshield and rear window are held on with clips. There is a tool that looks like an arrow that is designed to pry on the clips to remove the trim. You must pry the clips and not the trrim. The stainless on the door window frame and roof rain gutter can be removed by gently tapping the bottom lip off the rain gutter, starting at the front and working back. I use a dull wide blade screwdriver and small hammer.

    MAVAHOLIC

in other words... the way I'm understanding u is this..

the drip rail.....trim pieces come off by pealing the bottom off the drip rail....Alittle at a time of course....lol

and the windshield.. IT HAS THE TRIM CLIPS
those funky clips that ford has used for so long..
    lol.....
    OK,,,,, let me know....
SRY I DIDNT SPECIFY what CHROME>>>

    1.) windshield
    2.) drip rail
    3.) doors
    4.) rear window
    Thanks Mavaholic

To remove the drip rail chrome, I have used an old style can/bottle opener with masking tape wrapped around it to adjust the fit and prevent the opener from scratching the finish.

old thread so i dont know if you,ll see this but im an autoglass installer by trade so i can tell you what tools you need they make a special y shaped tool with pointed hooks on the end and its called as you might guess a chrome remover gets under the clip and prys it away with out damaging the peice also as far as the other moldings try tapping it like evryone else said but go to youre local glass company and ask for what we call a fiber stick its a plastic tool very strong thats perfect for prying tapping or lipping the rubber around the glass without hurting any of the parts ..hope this is a help

The bottle opener trick works like a charm ... The smaller fatter piece at the end is a pain but with a little delicate force it will come off easy ... I used a flat screwdriver for all my window trim,I just hooked it on the clip and pried up (easily). It pulled the clip off without damaging the trim ...
