todmeg; I had my '70 front rechromed at a local rechromer, and it was right at $200. Seems a lot, but it looks great. I am in GA, around Atlanta, and the place was Southern Bumper Exchange, in Riverdale. They are fast and easy to work with. I guess you get what you pay for. Good luck!

I sent a set to Tri City Plating in TN. They were $165 each. I am picking them up at Spring Carlisle Apr 20 and I will let you know if it was worth it. I have used the Bumper Boys out of CA and they were $155. They seemed to do a nice job but I would recommend you have a good bumper and have them plate it rather than just exchanging one. A friend & I both had problems getting straight bumpers from them.

I used a local plater that is well know for the quality of work they do. My bumpers cost me $250 each.
