Are you talking about the clamp that holds down the e-brake cable or the ones that hold the springs together and parallel to each other? The e-brake clamp can go anywhere where it holds the cable out of the way of the tire, maybe right about where the thickest part of the tire comes closest to the spring. The other clamps have a "nipple" in them that falls into a hole in the springs. Once they are clamped tight, the nipple lines up and keeps the clamp from moving around.
Neither,,,,,,,,, extra, after market clamps in addition to stock clamps, to reduce flex making it more of a one piece spring. John, there are front spring clamps too, but you knew that didn't you? lol. You knew where I was going with that question.
