Ive update the classified rules, changes are in red.

    Classified Rules

    1. Classifieds are restricted to 1970 - 1979 Mavericks and 1971 - 1977 Comets only. However, trading another vehicle for a Maverick/Comet will be allowed as long as the ad is placed in the Wanted section of the forum.
    2. Soliciting/selling VINs, titles, other registrations or paperwork is prohibited.
    3. Ads for parts can come from different vehicles as long as they can be used on a Maverick or Comet.
    4. All items for sale must include a price and where they are located. However, an exception to the rule will be made if you are parting out a whole car. At least 10 parts must be listed with prices, the other parts can be by email or PM request.
    5. Ads may only be posted in the Maverick and Comet Marketplace Forums and/or your signature.
    6. Ads may be altered/removed without prior notice for any reason.
    7. Do not bump your own thread ("To The Top, Back To Top, etc) more than once in a 24 hour period. After bumping your thread more than 3 times, it will be locked.
    8. Selling/promoting a product, service or website through unsolicited personal messages (PMs) is not allowed.
    9. Use of the forum classifieds is at your own risk! The Maverick / Comet Forums owner is not responsible for any transactions between buyers and sellers.
    10. Use the iTrader Ratings System, shown in each member's profile to see ratings on past transactions.
    11. Do not use the forums as a dispute service. If a transaction has gone bad, contact the Internet Crime Complaint Center and your local police
    12. The classifieds are not a place to voice your opinion on value/price.
    13. If you wish discuss the price, send the seller a PM or email.
    14. Do not reply to a classifieds thread unless you are truly interested in the item(s).
**** Failure to comply with these rules will result in your post being locked/deleted without warning and/or may result in the loss of forum privileges. Furthermore, an infraction will be issued.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
On every other forum I'm on they have recently added a rule where picture must been posted at the sate time the ad is posted....

I think it's one of the best rules. Especially in today's day and age where it take less than 20 seconds to snap a spic and upload it using your phone at least.

The only problem is that not everyone knows how to take pictures, transfer them to their computer and upload them to the forum. So far now I wont make it a requirement.

    Its already in the guidelines.....

    Classified Guidelines

    • Always exercise caution when dealing with others over the Internet. Trust your gut instinct and if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
    • Include as much detail (condition, color, mileage, modifications, maintenance info, etc) and pictures as possible. More info on posting pictures can be found here.
    • Before dealing with a member, take a look at their iTrader rating. This information can be found in their user profile (See below for more info).
    • Make sure that you have all the buyer’s/seller’s contact info (email, address, phone number) before sending anything to them.
    • Do not send cash in the mail, instead, use a secure online payment service like Paypal.
    • When shipping packages, always use a tracking number.
    • Once a transaction is over, please leave the member an iTrader feedback rating.
    • If a transaction has gone bad, contact the Internet Crime Complaint Center and your local police, as they are the only people that can help you out.

Question about "Soliciting/selling VINs, titles, other registrations or paperwork is prohibited. "......

what if it is intently sold as a memoriabilia (sp) only?? what the buyer chooses to do with it once they get it is intirely up to them, correct??

or if a person sells the complete dash from a car, and just to happens to have to corresponding title with it and it's all sold as 'parts only'?
