I have never used Cleco fasteners, but I have heard people on the forum rave about them. We are thinking of getting a good kit for our shop, what do you guys think about this kit?

We have no idea which Cleco holders get used the most, so we thought to start with a kit with a bunch of sizes. Any recommendations? Thanks! :Handshake

I would like to have some of those too. I like that set, seems like a good price.

Looks like a good starter kit...The ones you will use the most will be the 1/8" for holding panels and the 3/16" straight ones(for doing plug welds)...The right angle ones...You may want a larger assortment of those...Never seems to be enough of em for a patch.

That looks like a great price. I used them for frabicating rusted areas on my Maverick and loved them. Great for test fitting and holding fabed pieces in place. All I needed was 1/8" and the right angle ones. You'll probably want more of the right angle ones at some point.

I use them all the time, they are great. I think I have 50-60 of them. I would stick with 1/8" and the angle clamps. I never drill other size holes to clamp things together. Those other sizes would be a complete waste in my garage.

So... the "size" of the cleco determines the thickness of the combined panels it can hold together? eg; 1/8" Cleco will hold together 1/8" thickness of combined metal? Or is it just the required hole size?

All it has to do with is the hole size. That's it. That is why I don't really see the need for the different sizes. I drill everything with 1/8th inch. Can't imagine changing drill bit sizes all the time.
