Clueless idiot from the Fredericksburg, VA area just got one!

    Hello peeps!

    I'm from the Fredericksburg, Va area and just picked up a 1975 Ford Maverick. I'm no newbie to classic cars, however, I never seem to finish a project. I've owned a large number of great classics, but I eventually get frustrated and give up. It usually ends in my selling the vehicle at a huge loss. I hope this time will be different.

    I love the idea of fixing up an old car and using it as daily transportation. It's a great idea, but the problem is that I have 10 thumbs and no mechanical ability. I have a large garage to house the Maverick, I just lack the talent to get anything done.

    Hopefully, through this forum and the many great Maverick websites, I can learn enough to get some basic maintenance done. Heck, hopefully I will be lucky enough to meet some "locals" and be able to see some cool cars.

    Anyways, I'm just saying hello and want to thank everyone for making this a great forum. I hope to add something to the community, even if it is just my weird sense of humor. :bananaman
