I have an automatic in my Mav now but would like to switch over to my 4-speed. 1) Can you run a hydrolic clutch with the stock pedals? 2) Does anyone run a hydrolic clutch with the stock floor and column assembly with after market pedals? If so what kind of pedals? 3) Will after market pedals mount very easy ? I would like to switch my 70 Mav over to a 4-speed but like a knuckle head left the stock pedal assembly go in the parts car. They were never mounted right in the first place and would bind when going from reverse to first. so I would rather not go that route again if possible. Thoughts? p.s. sorry about spelling. lol
I allways think it is better to go with stock stuff but you need pedals from a 70 they are one year only I have a set if you want to go that way pm me if interested Raymond
Mav Maniac have you ever changed one over from an automatic? It's been a while since I attempted this and if I remember right the rod that goes through the dash mount is bigger than the hole in the automatic. The last time I drilled it out (25 yrs ago) with an angle drill it egg shaped the holes. I will look at it better tomorrow to see exactly what needs to be done and if thats the way I decide to go.
