Should I use a 6cyl coil spring or a 1 inch drop spring to set my ride hight ?
    I have seen both used.. It's a 302 and will have a/c

How low do you want to go?
I used a Mustang 1" lowering spring (on my green Grabber), and I cut half a coil off them.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
You also have to know the spring rates of both springs. To determine how it will ride. Also fatman fab sells two inch drop spindles if you wanna go that way.

I have mustang 550lb 1 in drop and cut a full coil out to get it down around stock height and they handle good not to rough but not to soft

    Spring Choice

I think it has a lot to do w/ how u plan on using the car that influnces ur choice in spring selection. Some have an apperance over ride quality perspective. I had my springs replaced w/ Moog 8306's and I like the ride quality over what was on the car. The springs replaced were not old and had some coil material removed. I don't know what the springs were or how much coil was removed. I gained abt 1-1.5" abt 28" @ center of wheel well now. Anyway, the car rides much better now. I drive my car on highways and rough streets in the midwest. I prefer the better ride over the lower look. I just made a 500 mile trip in the car and love the way the car rides. I don't notice any degradation in the cars handling.
