Sorry guys but still new to the site. Maybe you can help with a color code question I hope this is the right place.I have a '70 grabber with the color code being U or O. In the decoders I have found they don't list either one. I bought it from the original owner and he claims to have special ordered the color.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

If I were you, I'd spend about $40 and get a Marti Report.

    http://www.martiauto.com/

The report will tell you all about your car.

I am looking at the report on the Mav I gave my son. Hmm it was born on 10/20/1970 I'll have to remember that.

According to the PPG paint books for 1970, O is called Original Cinnamon Poly and U is called Grabber Orange.

There is a cut off date there. I think 73 past that Marti is the only alternative.
Mercury is 67 and up marti only.

The free Ford report pales in comparison to the Marti report. Also the free report is often vague and has errors in it. You get what you pay for.
