Are you using a repop or original?

The repop has studs at the very back of the scoop so unless you want to drill access holes in the rear underhood support area to get install the nuts on the studs you have to mount it further forward than the factory scoop. The factory scoop does not have studs in the back so it can overlap the support at the rear underside of the hood.

I mounted my repop as far back as I could without having to drill access holes in the support. The factory scoop sits maybe 1 inch or so from the back of the hood. My repop sits about 4 inches or so from the back of the hood ...

    Make sense? Dan

I can measure mine, off the top of my head I would say it is about 1 - 1 1/4 inches from the edge of the hood. I have an original GT scoop on mine.

I put mine at 2" at the center of the hood near the cowl.
