    Hello Again,
I have a 1971 Mercury Comet that I recently purchased. I also resently purchased a 1970 Maverick hood, grill, and trunk lid(thanks to lbr). I am still wondering what I am going to do about the front turn signals. I dont like them below the bumper, where they are located on a 70 maverick. Ihave been looking at some mavericks that have the lights mounted on the grill. I was wondering if there was any sort of standard as to what years have these types of grills, and if anybody knows where i can get one, or even if anybody has one on here?
Any help would be appreciated, because i am only 16 and know little to nothing about cars, let alone the differences and similarities between comets and mavericks.
    Thanks Again,
    Sean

    I've had a few
All '73-'77 Mavericks have the turn signals in the grille. Depends on which type of sport lights you like.

Today I fixed my dilemma temporarily. I took the lights out of my 71 comet grill, put them on, then sat and pondered. Next, i took the maverick grill, and a sharpie and marked where the lights met the grill. Then I took a pair of pliers and snapped the fins on the Maverick grill(please forgive me guys, I know i commited a Maverick, Ford and all around Car SIN!!!!!), then i bolted it right on. Now the lights are in, it looks cool, and not to mention almost un-noticable and i didnt even change the valence or the bumper.
NExt step is making my own custom grill, this shouldnt be too hard. Afterall, i do have an afterschool job at a waterjet(hydroabrasive) company and ive known all the workers my entire life. They are all car guys and are all willing to take time out to program and cut me a grill. I'll post pictures(of the job I did today) and if i get a custom grill made. Who knows, I could probably make 5 or 6 of them and sell them to you guys, cheap!!!
    Thanks for the Help!!
    Sean
