my name is philip and a women down the road hired me to clean and haul away a garage that the ice storm we had two weeks ago took down, well before i started to take it the rest of the way down, she lifted the door and said her mom bought the car brand new in 1974 and she said she didnt want it, and she gave me a 1974 mercury comet with 74.624 actual miles on it, I got it running the other day and it needs brakes, and the body has maybe three little rust spots on it, havent made up my mind if i want to keep it or sell it, just like them old cars, Philip Mysnoopydogs@yahoo.com
Wow! I say keep it!!! Just keep exploring this forum and you'll see how great these cars really are. Oh yeah, welcome aboard! Post some pics and stick around for a while. :Handshake
need the bottom trim below the doors on the passenger side, have the origanal on, but it is bent, and i have to fine a vaccuum advance for the distribator, but put new plugs in it and it runs good with a slight miss in it, figured that was the incorrect point setting, going to se them tomorrow, then i will work on getting the brakes fixed on it, everything else is good, i will get some picturs of it with my computer camera and send them in tomorrow to show you all the good deal i got on the 1974 mercury comet 4-door.
