Hi guys, Yesterday i found a steerig wheel at the salvage yard that looks alot like a mustang 2 style steering wheel. The wheel was it a comet 4 door with vdo syle bucket seats. The wheel is a three spoke wheel with holes in the spokes. It is leather wrapped also. The horn button is a ford oem part with a part number of 13a805 ? My question is does anyone know if this is an actual comet part or has it been swaped out of a mustng? the emblem in the middle of the horn button is mercury. Thought maybe i have a fairly rare steering wheel? Any help would be apppreciated thanks.

Sounds like a Mercury Capri wheel. Not that rare but they are fetching good bucks on E-bay

Could be the sport wheel Ford used on several cars in the 70s.
It was used in M2s as well as Stallions, some Pintos, and some F150s.
They do fetch some good dough when in perfect shape.
They are also popular swap ins for Mavericks.

It was probably swapped in. The center piece is easy to change out to something related to what you have.
