While playing around yesterday, I got to wondering about what a Comet [or Maverick] might look like with T-Tops. Might be interesting! (I can't get too fancy with a 3/4" wide blade! If I could have turned 90 degrees, I would have left the middle of the roof like T-Tops are supposed to look like).
Ferrous Oxide has gotten the best of them. I have seen much worse, though. I could have saved more, but I wanted the taillight panel. Hard to salvage both quarters and taillight panel with a saw! <img src="attachment.php?s=&postid=12308" border="0" alt="" vspace="8" hspace="4">
yeah but are those panels right behind the rear wheels not rusted through? if they aren't rusted thru, i sure could use the one from the passenger side!
Hey Doug, if the rear part of the inner wheel well and quarter panel is not rusted out, cut out both sides. About a vollyball size section would be great. I'll take the one Scott dosent want.
I have a set of t-top glass from an 83 mustang coupe that I will give to somebody ONLY if they make a Maverick T-Top. I wonder if the angles are close? I might need to get another Mav and practice with my welder and cutter.
Anatomy of the fender well Right now the trunk is probably full of water unless I pulled the plugs---We've had 6.5 inches of rain since 6 AM this morning. AND MORE COMING! Maybe I ought to make it into an arc. OK. Are you all talking about sections A or B or both of the above? I haven't cut any more today, obviously!
How about "D" none of the above. I was talking about the outer, bottom, rear section which would include the inner wheel well along with the quarter section.
I don't think those floor boards would support T-tops! Maybe you could fill it with dirt and plant some flowers in it.
