Hey does anyone have any good blueprints or ideas on how to make a console for a manual to go in between bucket seats? Or maybe even a console from another car that might fit?

I've heard of a few that have used earlier Granada/Monarch consoles. The cars are closely related to Mavs in a number of ways. The trick is finding a good one.

Yeah, if I remember right I've seen those and I dont think I liked them that much. I was thinkin maybe one from a newer vehicle if possible maybe, but I have also heard of people making their own, and i would be interested in that too.

The console from a Taurus SHO looks like a good fit, I almost bought one but I decided I wanted to see Robert's first. Robert, have you got yours yet?

Actually, I am looking at buying a pair of bucket seats out of a Taurus SHO and converting to be able to work in a coupe. I wonder if I should just get the console out of it at the same time. Better do some measurements. Did you say someone has already put a SHO console in? If so, would like to see how it looks too.

Actually, that combo looks pretty good. I think you have something there. I ordered a Mustang II console for a customer and they look decent. I wonder how they would fit in a Mav?

Yeah now the only tricky thing is to fix them so they come forward like seats out of a coupe so people can get in the back if they want. Not quite sure how I'm gonna do that yet, but I'm sure theres a way. I also took the back seats out of the SHO so I can reupohlster the Maverick's stock back seats to match. :)

Yep thats how mine look too:D but I think my seats are in a little better shape.......I was not worried about the seats tilting forward in my car because only my kids will be crawling back there...I am in the process of obtaining a compleete mark series lincoln(88-89) for a donar car for my wifes car.........the seats in them do tilt forward........and I saw a set of them in Chris and Marcy Stout's car and they were really nice on my car I plan on stripping all of the electrics out and mounting them on my bucket seat slides I want to keep the wait down on it but still be comfortable.......

Yeah, I actually have a set of those lincoln seats too, dont match, but i was thinkin it might be possible to take that tilting device out of those seats and some how putting them in the SHO seats.

That looks like a pretty nice console. Do you have any more pics of it? Like close ups. Is there a spot for a floor shifter? Thanks for any info. Looks like it's coming along nicely.

Are the Taurus seats a direct bolt-on to the mav bucket seat rails, or is there some modification required?

    SHO Seats...

...I had a '94 SHO. Most comfortable seats ever.

Oh, Mustang II console, has hand brake cutout.

    Mine is '71-'73 Mustang/Cougar console.

Hey littleredtoy, do you have any pics of your console in the car. I want a console, but would like to see what one looks like in. Thanks.
