    Hi all,

I was just wonder what people's opinons are on tubular control arms (ie. Global West, TCP) versus traditional type, for a daily driver. Is is worth the extra $$$ for an upgraded setup? I'm considering freshening up the front suspension while I get the parts together for a disc brake upgrade for the Mav. And I'm wondering is these parts are worth it.

What other types of upgrades/add-ons would help to improve handling, drivability of what's there?

Sway bar upgrade, wheel tire upgrade, shocks, etc,

    Thanks,

    Fred Fermin

In my opinion, for a "daily driver" that would be overkill. Lots of money to spend for a "daily driver". All new comnponents would be much better suited.

    My 3 1/2 cents worth.

    PST

thanks Craig...it does seem a bit extreme.

Does anyone recommend the PST kits? or is there another alternative?

    Thanks

P.S. Also where's a source for a new ram boot for the power steering? Or will one for a mustang work?

I bought the PST kit and installed it on my Sprint. I am sorry as hell I did. I lubricated them as directed and they still squeek and pop like a $2 h***er. Upper and lower ball joints have no provisions for grease fittings. Unless your going to road race, I'd stick with OEM type stuff. Just my opinion.

    In the nick of time

    Mavaholic,
I just called PST the other day to order a 7/8ths sway bar and the sales rep told me about the sway-bar/ front-end package deal. I decided to take a few days to think abou it. In light of your comment, I think I'll stick with just their sway bar. No bad expiriences with that, right? For the rest of the front end, I'm ordering Moog parts.

    disappointed to hear that

I'm really sorry to hear that about PST. I had heard from others on the board that the bushings were top-notch and had set my sights on them. We are talking about the polygraphite ones, right?:(

I wanted the front and rear swaybars from them too, but I don't guess that makes a difference.

    squeeky and popping front end

Mavaholic, I know you mentioned it, but I seem to have the same problem with a stock replacement front end. It simply pops once in a while. I can't figure out if it is a brake pad or some other component. Any idea what is popping on the PST front end?

I did install the polygraphite set. I have no idea where the poping is comming from since pushing the front end down moves so many parts. Its hard to isolate it. I can get it to do it every now and then in the garage but it does it alot while driving it. I only have about 50 miles on the car since its restoration so I'm hoping it quites down when I get some more miles on it.
