I recently found a real nice set of original 67 Cougar taillights that I would like to install on my 76 Maverick. As you can probably see they aren't exactly flat on the bottom, so even if I cut out the raised portion of the taillight panel and weld in a flat piece of steel they wont fit properly. I have heard that the 67/68 Cougar taillights are the same as the 67 Shelby ones, except the Shelby lights don't have the fins. I wonder if anyone has used actually tried to fit a set of cougar lights into a Shelby rear panel, and if so how did it work out?
    Thanks :tiphat:
