 I have a set of Crager S/S wheels 15X8. I am currently going to change over to 5 lug disc brake set up. The wheels have a backspacing of 4". The question is will I be able to fit these on the front of the Mav.If you hve How do they look?

    Fitting Cragar S/S

    Hi Idaho Mav,

I have Cragar S/S (5 Lug) 15 x 7's on my '73 Mav. The backspacing on my wheels is pretty close to 4" IIRC.

Based on what I see, a 15 x 8 with the same backspacing should be fine. It will depend, obviously, on what size tires you run.

    I chose pretty small tires - 225 - 50 x 15.

I can send you some pictures attached to an email if you like.

    regards,
    BaldEagleMav

Same here, I have SSTs on the front of mine with 4" bs. Depending on how low your car sits you may need a low tire to keep from rubbing the fender.

Thanks I appreciate the info. I hadn't planned on too big of a tire out front. Big-littles work good for me. I'm glad to have your input. Yes I would appreciate pictures!

BTW would now be a good time to upgrade to power steering. The car I'm getting the stuff off of has that setup, and for 100.00 more he'll sell me the setup.
