I`m about to install a new converter in my car and since I had to remove the headers anyway,I decided to test fit my Crites (for 351w) headers on to my 308 since according to Crites, they are supposed to fit.

They DO FIT and I didn`t have to use a 3/8 flange adaptor like the Hooker 6208s use (I really thought I would need one with these headers too.)

The Crites headers are VERY easy to install with No modifications to the Headers or the car except you would need to slightly dimple the #2 tube or the shock tower because there is about 1/16" clearance btween them.(See pictures #1,#2,and #3.)

Also the headers are pretty close to the ground on my car due to my front end is lowered a bit,as you can see in my signature pic.

I used the 20oz. water bottle to give you an Idea of how little ground clearance there is.

Note: I have a Moroso Deep sump 8qt. pan on my engine and the headers are lower than the sump is! (I know the pan needs to be re-painted!)

Yea most peoples cars aren`t as low in the front as mine.

But after looking at everything installed you can see where the two front pipes on each bank could have a section removed from each pipe resulting in much better clearance.

Also someone with the right equipment and skills could improve the "elbow" at the beginning of tubes 1,5,and 7 and this would REALLY be a great set of headers for an 8.2 deck motor.
