Custom made gas tanks????

    Does anyone know of someone that makes custom made to fit gas tanks for a fuel injected Maverick??? I would like something that bolts in but has all new technology for the fuel enjected engine I am plannig on putting in.

    have you checked out your local marine shop? my buddy had one made by a marine shop who makes customs tanks for like everything..he took the car down, told them what he wanted and they took a bunch of measurements, like 4 weeks later he had a beautiful tank.

    You can get EFI ready Mustang tanks that can be made to fit your Maverick. Not sure about direct fit Maverick tanks. Check out Tanks, Inc.

    if you are going to make a Mustang tank fit your car, why not...fix your Maverick tank with a fuel return bung ...:huh:

    Sorry, wasn't clear. The Mustang tanks also accept in-tank pumps. They also sometimes have either built-in sumps or drop-in pumps with sumps.

    I heard that the 77 comet and maverick tanks fit perfect! Maybe you just have to buy larger sharps though not sure!

    Thanks 71Gold I did not know that!!! Also would the fuel sender for that year tank
    Work as well? I'm trying to put a new fuel tank on my 73 Merc Comet and well I
    Can't find info anywhere. If you could post a link up to some detailed info on using the 76-77
    Maverick/comet tank on a 70-73 that would be the best!!!
