Ok i broke my 3RD plastic grille the junk yards around town have run out i cant bare to look at my gt with a piece of the grille missing so i was wondering if all you master fabricators out there that have made these could give me some tips i have a welder so that thats not the problem i would like to know what i should use and what demensions to use. Or if some one has some crazy idea for a grille bring it up and i will try it and take some pics so you can see what it will look like.
comet grille hey there. make one purfect grille from the 3 broken grilles. there is a guy here that welds plastic together. he fixed my broken grille (from two) for $40.00 . All you have to do is repaint cause the weld is grey or white in color. there should be some one in Alberta who can do this. why or how are you breaking these all the time.Turns out Im not going to use this grille. both bottom pins fine, both top slots fine and the two in the centre are ok. this grille from a 77 comet. Main part of grille is grey and around headlites is a darker grey.If interested then e-mail me at totallyquackers@sympatico.ca RON
I am going to try fabricating a grill for my GT. I've always liked the depth of the early Mustang grills so I'm going to try something along those lines. I also plan on eliminating the grill lights. I think the hardest part will be finding mesh material to use as the background. I'd like to find something similar to the 67 GTO grill.
Hmm.. i think i might do something like that till i can make a grille out of steel i want to make mine just like a real comet grill just out of steel
Does anyone know how many quarts of oil a 250 inline 6 cylinder ford engine takes. I got an oil change in a maverick that I just purchased and the place said that it only took 4 quasrts total. I just don't believe that.
