I try to get my daughters involved with my interests and they have been a huge help on the Mav. They are surprisingly good mechanically and understand more than I realize.
Had my middle daughter(11years old) at work with me. Had to run in for a few hours to finish a car and diagnose a Viper for lack of power and rough running. Yippy.
Anyhow finished up the Neon then went out and brought in the Viper with my daughter. Thinking this car would really impress her and it would be a big deal for her to be in a Viper. She said she liked the interior. Then she hopped out and guided me into my bay so I didnt hit the hoist arms. To my surprise the only comment she had was that it sounded funny. I asked what she meant. She said the exhaust didnt sound right. It doesnt sound good like our Maverick. I started to giggle and said yep your right it doesnt. Told her its a v10 and they all sound like a 5 cylinder Audi with an exhaust leak. I was shocked that she picked up on the exhaust tone right away. I havent heard a Viper yet that I liked and I'm proud to say that my daughter hasnt either. Just doesnt have that nice v8 rumble.
From the mouths of babes I guess. Prefers my old Mav to a 100000 dollar Viper. Too funny. She might change her mind if she could drive the Viper but for now I'm happy with her observation and the fact she prefers the car we built together.:D

Great story, really cool. One of my daughters is 11 too and she is right into the cars with Daddy and likes to go to the car shows with me, this makes me really happy and proud. :thumbs2:
