Dale and Jean Doll are once again working on a Maverick in their paint shop. They are taking my formerly white and red Maverick (originally from Florida) and transforming it into a black and silver Stallion clone. Jean has been kind enough to keep the process documented by snapping a few photos, so here is where they are at thus far...
They sure do. Here is a link to other Mavericks they've done. http://mmb.maverick.to/gallery/brow...id=&orderby=title&direction=ASC&cutoffdate=-1 And they've painted a Stallion before (red and black), but the photos are not on Jean's profile anymore....
I have seen many of their completed cars. Attention to detail always produces excellent results!!!!! Dan
Craig, Since the car was going from white to black, I wanted the engine bay painted, which was part of the Dolls original quote. Dale and Jean felt since it was a 250 six, they would have room to leave the engine in and still be able to paint the engine bay. However, once work started, they decided to go the extra mile and pull the engine out....
Boss / Inspector.... Jean sent over this pic of their "quality control inspector, critter control manager, and all around shop boss". Hard at work I can see, inspecting the interior of the Mav..... Must be hard wearing all those hats every day, and keeping the crew in line....
Progress continues.... The Dolls are making progress in the transformation. Here are a couple of interior painting photos. Getting closer and closer to the final exterior paint. It will be cool to see this white and red "grandpa" car finally transformed into a cool looking silver and black Stallion.....
