dash delima

When I look at other peoples cars on here the dashboard matches the outside of the car but my car (74) is red on black and I have a black dashboard. Did it depend on color choice or is this just one of those Ford's better ideas. Hey man lets make the black interior all black woohooo, now thats pretty

 

I would say very few people's dashes match the outside of their car. If it does...it is a custom paint job or coincidence.

 

Mine matches. It was the same ugly greenish-yellow that the exterior was. Both the metal and dashpad were color matched.

I thought they all were that way...

 

Whats wrong with all black interior? I like mine a lot.

 

......but.........your interior also somewhat matches the outside of the car.....hence the "match".

 

Ford didn't put black dashes in Mavericks ... they were Dark Charcoal Metallic ...

 

I thought they were black on all mavericks except the ones that were painted black and then they got the dark charcoal metallic?

 

Not in my Red car ... it was/is Charcoal ..

 

Ok, for some reason I thought thats the way it was. Guess I learned something new today.

 

Yeah my 72 has a black int with the dark charcoal dash,the A pillars are charcoal also sa well as the tiny bit of B pillar you can see between the door and quarter glass.

 

I swear mine is black as coal, I love it, im just curious. The dash pad and the face and lower pieces are so black they match the a/c vents.My mom's new taurus has dark charcoal and I can tell its not black this is very dark. like I said, Just wonderin. Whenever cannon sends my cam back I will take some pics. maybe someone has done a cheap resto along the way.?.
