Were dash package trays always black? I thought that I had seen a tan LDO tray before.
If you have painted your tray a color other than black, please post it! :tiphat:

The LDO cars had a tan simulated "pad" on the front to match the tan interior. It was simply attached to the front of a regular black package tray.

I have seen pictures of package trays that were painted along the front edge the same color of the interior of the car. I have never seen one in person. I have always wondered if the factory did this to the very early 1970 cars (1969.5). I have seen blue and ruby red (MY names).

I once had a consolette that was painted ruby red, leaving the middle part of the door black. It sure LOOKED factory.

I pulled a package tray from a 69.5 a few years ago that was painted red on the front edge. It was a red on red car and definitely factory.
