My first question since joining the forum! i apologize if this has been answered already but i have searched and searched and couldn't find anything. My dash pad is beyond repair, and beyond using a cap to cover up. It is down to just the metal base. I would like to somehow - using the metal frame - "build up" something that will cover the dash. I have thought about using sheet metal to make something to fit the contour of the dash, and then painting it to match, but i dont know how difficult that would be. Anyone have any ideas? I am waiting to put the dash together again until i finish this. Thanks!

Might be easier to find or buy a used dash pad and install a dash cap than making one from sheet metal. Post an ad in the wanted section

agree with above... a cracked but capable dash pad shouldn't be that hard to find,
PM me an Email address for pics.of another option.
