Either way you'll have your work cut out for you. Are you installing the column with or without the steering wheel?

Dash first, there is a bolt that goes through the brake pedal bracket into the dash that is above the column.....

I put the steering column in first. Steering wheel last.

I usually go dash first, column is a pain any way you go unless you're a contortionist.

    I would vote dash first.

Yep it's a 70, good eye! It's suppose to be the original thanks-a-vermillion red...i think it's more orange though. DuPont 4602

It looks a lot like the 69 Camaro Hugger Orange that I am using on my 70:)

Thats a no brainer....dash first, no column in the way...then the column, as one person stated allready, there is a bolt that goes up thru the dash where the column would be. Dash then column. Columns are simple, specially if you have the wheel off.
