While most of the country was under snow last week, we had our last race of the year December 21st here at our new track in El Paso. The little Mav and I made it through 6 rounds to take first place in the 14 second and up bracket class. We've been on a roll lately, took second place at the two previous races one here and another at Arroyo Seco in New Mexico. couple shots http://www.southwestdrags.com/races/2008/epm/dec/race.html
Congratulations. That's whats nice about brackets. You don't have to be the fastest, just the most consistent. Some people don't realize how hard that is to do when your talking about winning or losing by thousanths of a sec. The Arroyo Seco track is the one one I-10 isn't it?
Thanks guys, yeah it's a killer way to end the year. Yeah Don, Arroyo Seco is off 1-10 near Demming,NM. Neat track, the owner does a great job with it and keeps the racers happy and loyal. They have a road course also. http://www.arroyosecoraceway.com/
We have some guys that I race with in Tucson, that live closer to the border, that go there quite often. They talk really good about it. It's just to far for me.
Yeah your Mav looks SWEET Gene! Are you talking about the Wards from Wilcox? Joe Ciskowski(sp) and a few others also from AZ are regulars there. Says "Grabber" - it's a decal i put on it
