? differential ratio on a 72 grabber 302/c4

    Anyone would give me a clue how to know that...just purchase a 72 mav grabber,302 c4...does the axle come posi or not and what is the good number thanks for the help.

    Three 71 Maverick Grabbers, a 72 302 Sprint, a 73 LDO 2door parts car, a 76 silver v8 Stallion.
    Never came with a posi from the factory. Most likely has a 2:79. If you clean the tag off that's attached to the stud on the rear carrier, it'll give the gear ratio. Likely to say 2:79 but may be a 3:00 too.

    door jamb will either say axle code: 3 for 2.79 or axle code: 6 for 3.00
