disc brakes

anyone know if the spindle is the same for drum and disc?

It's not...

 

1967 Mustang/Fairlane brakes bolt to original drum spindles, have them on my '69 Fairlane.

There are aftermarket kits that bolt to orig spindles.

 

I was referring to the disc brakes that Mavericks/Comets had from the factory...

 

Comet/Maverick drum spindles are exactly same as '66-'71 Fairlane/Torino.

 

Thanks to all!, I have a set for 71 Tornio, this Comet has been sitting since 1986, my brother bought it from a salvage yard in 86 and put it in a small garage he didn't use until he let me have it a few weeks ago, looking forward to grtting it back on the road!!

You're golden, I have '69 Torino disc brakes on my comet.

 

My brother bought this comet in 1987 from a local salvage yard there was no engine in it, it sat inside his small garage until March of this year when he let me have, looking forward to getting it back on the road

 

This is my friend who is doing the body work, only rust beside surface rust is a small place behind rear wheel, floor pans good front fenders good
