ok thanks to Dean Deeter getting me the part number for the brake clip to keep the pads from moving. so i went and got these clips to put on the front brakes

but in the middle of my doing this i can't seem to figure out where these clips go? :hmmm: i mean i seen some on my other cars on where they go but for some reason i can't figure it out where they go on these brakes. on the ends of the pads right? if that the case the clips are way to thick to go on do they go on the caliper? anyone got any pics? i'm confused.

if this clicking don't stop i'm putting wilwoods on my stock car :D :D

The anti rattle clip goes on the inner lower pad support because the pads move upward when the brakes are applied. These keep tension on the pads so they don't move very far and make the slapping noise.
The clips have a 'clip' area that locates them and a tang the takes up the small space between the end of the pad and the support groove and provides a spring action.
When in place there should not be any hard or restricted movment of the pads or there can be operating problems especially when corrosion sets in.
Lube both ends of the pad ears with a light coating of anti seize but not enough to get on the pads or disc and keep you fingers off the pads/disc surfaces when installing them.

Derek; if you take the pads off, and bend the tabs in so they are very hard to put on, and then tap them on, the tapping will go away. I had to do this every time I put new pads on my car. Put the clips on, but make sure the pads can't move. This is especially true of the inner pad. Take care,
