So I just picked up a (I believe) 70’ parts car and want to know if it is early or late, mainly so I don’t damage anything that might be specific to either one. Here is what I can tell you based on what I can find in the search, - gas tank is the trunk floor - key is in the column - has different style of sill plate from my 72’ - 7 1/4 rear end - 6 hole taillight mount (taillights missing) - pretty sure it was a 170 with a 3ott, but now has a floor shifter. Need to get it cleaned out and see how many gears it has. Doubt it but curious if a 4spd would bolt up to a 170/200 bell. - has low back buckets but not sure if these would be original? Probably no but…… anything else that may help date this?
Ignition on column would be late. Date on door tag Oct '69 or later 4-speed would have three shifter arms. 1-2, 3-4, & R
