Here is a pic of how my car sits. The tires are all 14", back being 245/60s and front 205/70s. I dont mind buying new springs and learning how to replace them, but Id like to know first IF I really need them. I would like to put 15" 60s on the back. Would just putting bigger rims and rubber on the back give me that 1" rake, or do I need that and springs. The trunk is empty in the pic. Thanks so much for the help.
look at your springs...if they are flat/no arch you need new ones. do you have a pic. of your springs that we could see? ......
I think it sits fine as it is... BUT like Frank said, without knowing if they are flat or not, I couldn't tell you if they need replaced.
As long as the 15" tires you put on the back are taller than what you have, yes, they would help. It appears that the front could be dropped a bit too, rather than raising the rear more. It doesn't look bad from the side like it is...on the rear height.
I agree. Cut 1/2 coil off the front should give it a nice rake. If 1/2 coil doesn't give you enough, go back and cut off another 1/2, but make sure to give it a few days to settle before the second cut or you might lower it too much....
Put a friend that weighs 200 lbs in the back seat and 50 lbs in the trunk and see where it sits. My car turns into a lowrider under those conditions ... needs springs ...
It appears to me u need new springs and it also appears you have a third member/differental leak. JMO
oh yeah, I got leaks. The diff, one in the center of the gas tank, and i think one on the end of the tank, and oil. I have been told that ford leaks are so common, they just might have part numbers. . The leaks are not bad, but I will get them fixed. Thanks for the feed back on the springs.
I've heard that as well... but with Chevrolets. As a matter of fact, a website that sold performance motors wouldn't warranty leaks on a chevy because it was "common" lol I wish I could remember that website
