My suspension/brake project is coming to an end. The new front suspension and disc brake upgrade went in pretty smooth on my 1972 Grabber. I replaced the entire rear - drum to drum - with a rear from a 1975 Comet. Put new leaf springs in while I was at it. I just replaced the brake shoes and wheel cylinders buy now cannot get the drum to go on - it is just ever so slightly too small. The drum did go on originally with the worn shoes. Should I get the drums turned (resurfaced)? They are brand new from a local auto parts store - is it standard to turn new drums?? Dan
i don't think you need to turn the drums. did you adjust the brakes? if not turn the adjusters back in.
