using a grinder with an abrasive wheel is long tedious work. I'm wondering if using aircraft remover to remove thick paint and body filler layers down to bare metal will work?

if there is metal underneath you can tap it with a plastic or aluminum wedge to crack it and shatter it. it will come off quicker that way, just dont hit it too hard because then you will have big dings to hammer out also..

Gorilla snot will soften the filler but, it wont strip it right off unless there is paint under it that the stripper can get to.

what works the best and what i did on my car was used a high speed sander with like an 8 inch disk with 36 and 40 grit sand paper, but be cautious of staying in one spot to long you overheat the metal and warp it.

Best way is to just get under it at the edge with a metal spatula or flat head screw driver and chip away at it. Once you get a crack its pretty easy. Good luck and be cautious;)
