that happens to live in northern states and anywhere else that may see lots of snowstorms during the winter part of the year? If so, would just like to know what kind of setups you guys have and what you do to keep it running well when the snow comes.
I found out last winter my car sucks bad in snow. I am going to try not to drive it in the snow, not for asthetic reasons but for safety.
as long as you can drive a rwd car with no traction control or abs, i don't think 6 cylinder shouldn't be that bad, just make sure you have a posi in the rear, some snow tires and some sand
I drove my car on a snow covered interstate for 2 hours last winter to get to school cause my truck was undergoing repairs, and it made it fine. My car does have a spool out back tho and while it gave me extra traction to get going it also made it tricky to take a turn without sliding. But again this was only in about 6" of snow, which may be alot for us but it ain't nothin for you guys up north.
6", hell we dont even take our motorcycles off the road for that. http://image3.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/mc_snow.jpg
I drive my Sprint daily...if the sun is shining...In summer. Cant drive it in the winter months if i want to keep it for more than 3 years...And I do...
Salt...................... really? wouldn't sand be a better idea incase the bag breaks or leaks a little?
Mine's a daily driver but I haven't had it long enough to have had an opportunity to drive in snow. I plan on keeping the car around though, so there is no way I'm taking her out in that kind of weather. We've got an Expedition and a Super Duty for that.
