Appears to be a Brazilian car. I don't know exactly what I6 they had down there, but I know it isn't the same as the 200/250's that went in the US cars.

That is the Braxilian version of our 200/250. The head is the main difference. The Brazilian heads differ even from the Aussie heads in that the exhaust exit is vertical and not slanted as the U.S. and aussie head. :)

that's the Brasilian l6. it was really not a good engine here. ti was famous to be as powerful as a 4cylinder and to consume as much Gasoline as the v8. That's why most of the cars here in Brasil are v8 or 4cyl, just few (I mean those in good shape) of them are l6 powered. Some people also put the Chevy l6 250c.i. in the Mav, beacuse it is much better than the Ford's Brasilian l6 and it also has cheaper replacement and performance parts here. V8 engines aren't so easy to find here in Brasil, and not so cheap either. That's mainly because there wasn't many cars at the 60's and 70's that had v8 engines here (unfortunately). The easiest v8 engines to find down here are the 302 ford, 292 ford and the 318 chrysler.
I'm currently building my 74' GT 302 Mav, and most of the performance parts i'm using are coming from the US, because it's really hard to find quality parts for those engines that aren't US made.

ps.: sorry my bad english. I need to practice more my writing. Gonna post some pics of my ride soon.

Whoa! Hey maybe you could help us to know if the 4 cyl engine mounts from the mav can be found in another car (Sierra, Cortina, or something).

i think someone said there isnt enough room next to the shock tower for the stock turbo or something. but with the right mounts the engine is good to go
