Has anyone found a vendor who provides Door Skins for a 71 Maverick? Have you found it simpler to grind out the rust area and and weld back in the patch. Opinions welcome.

    Thanks, TonyJ

I bought one from Green Sales a couple years ago. That would be the only "supplier" that may have one. They show up on ebay from time to time too. All 2 doors, from 70-77 would be the same in shape on the outer skin.

Check the vendor link on the forum or go to http://www.greensalescompany.com/ for information about them.

Cool! A great name .......

If you call Green Sales, ask for Mark Carter ........ he is the guy I deal with and he has done some great favors for me finding specific parts.

    :)

It all depends on now much rust you have, and which way would be the least amount of work.

I have found two on Ebay. They do pop up from time to time. I bought one for each side, NOS and in perfect condition. Keep your eyes open.....

I will keep my eyes open. The rust is pretty extensive at the very bottom of the doors about 2-3" high. Whatever I do there will be weep holes drilled after the door repairs.
