I'm thinking about attending this upcoming seminar by Dave Morgan (author "Doorslammers"), and was wondering if anyone has attended one and what your thoughts are. excerpt: "Dave Morgan will bring his traveling seminar presentation to Texas on January 28. This is the 10th year he has been presenting his chassis-tuning seminars to drag racers. "This year's presentation is much more evolved than any ever before," Morgan said. "Since becoming an instructor at the University of Northwestern Ohio, I've learned a few things about the art of teachingand, more importantly, about the nature of torque. I've also reorganized the material so we can cover more information in the smallest amount of time." Morgan promises the seminar will be "intense." So get plenty of rest before attending. The seminar will last nine or ten hours, depending on the number of questions. "I've taken what used to be a 16-hour, two-day presentation. At $75/day, and whittled it down to a one-day class for $85/day," Morgan added. "Guys are going to get more information than they expected. I'm very proud of the reputation my seminar has and I want to make it an even better learning experience." i've heard this is a good seminar. personally i think it is over my head. the limit of my knowledge is throw a set of traction bars on and hope for the best.
I'd love to go.....i've got his book but haven't read it all the way through....any idea when he will be coming closer to NC??
I've got the book. Good reading. Lots of information crammed into a day. But I would say it is worth it. Guess Lonnie knows him through University of Northwestern Ohio
I dunno. The more I've researched it, I'm not sure if I should just order the book, two VHS tapes and one audio from HERE for $104 shipped. I don't know if these items are included in the seminar price or not. I've written Mr. Morgan at staaytuned@aol.com to find out. I'll pass along his reply (if I get one). I couldn't find a schedule of his seminars. You might wanna email him to find out.
I'm almost finished reading his book and its pretty good. I would definitely go to the seminar if there was one in my area. I bet you could learn a lot and probably easily save $85 on parts based on the knowledge learned. Let us know if you see any information on the seminar locations.
Rick, Sign up for the seminar and be there. The book is great, tapes are nice but to really get this guy in a room and ask him questions is priceless. I've heard him speak before but not on the chassis subject. I've already signed up for and paid for the seminar. Bought the book over four years ago but I'll be there.
Yes he does. They work together there. I have been to Dave's seminar and know Dave, you won't be disappointed. Make sure you bring writing tools and a note book and be prepaired to learn there is alot of information.... Bill
Well, would you ask him to reply to my email requesting what materials (handouts) will be included in the seminar? (See my post above.) Thx
