A great piece of history in drag racing. I love everything about this film. Each part is about 9 minutes long. Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 I had to look up information on this "Jack Moss" - Twin engine dragster (side by side). Here's a link on it (and others): http://www.twotogo.homestead.com/TwoToGoPageTwo.html
Wow...that's when racing was racing. No hi tech cars there. Thanks for the links Rick... I loved watching that.
yup , im to young to know anything about that , but that is some awesome videos i like watching and learning about the past very cool thanks rick eddie
I didn't see him. I guess he was wearing his signature Cammo's even back then! (Who lubs you, Frank! )
A heartfelt thanks Rick, what a trip back to my youth. Started drag racing in 55 and some of those scenes are duplicates of my life. Flagmen starts, "7" slicks and crew cuts, what a site for these old eyes. 8mm film and camera was to hi tech for me, so did not get any movie pitures back then. Do have some slides and blk& white still photo's somewhere. Just sent my boy back to his Army unit today, for future deployment next month. You have made my day a little brighter with this little bit of history.
Hey Dave... figured you'd like those. I know it was hard on ya to drop off David... I just wish he woulda came by and said goodbye before he left... but maybe it was better that way. Those slides you got are awesome, i seen some of them once you had recorded onto VHS
You're very welcome, Dave. Sending a son off into battle must be double edged sword - being very proud of him while worrying about him also. Tell him we're ALL very proud of him and "THANKS!" 'Glad you enjoyed the video. I'll bet, back then, you never thought you'd be typing to a color TV, communicating to someone a thousand miles away and watching videos from that era on it! It was a different era then, but one thing remains - comradery between racers.
Thats pretty funny how you worded that. I just told Junior you said thanks... Im speaking with him right now actually. You guys should come visit us one day. Dave is one hell of a story teller
