Looking to buy some drag radials for my '73 but was curious what size to go with to fill up the wheel well. Im running a 15x8 rim, with 3.75 backspacing and 3.50 gear. Anyone have any input they would be willing to share? :)

    I'm running M/T 275/60R 15's on mine...with 15X8 wheels

Have a good 1/2" clearance on each side...no problems whatsoever!

That sounds like too wide a tire with that backspacing. I am concerned about rubbing the wheelwell lip going to 4" backspacing from 4.5" based on my own measuring, and I only have a 235/60 15" on a 15x8 rim. If I had a wider tire I think I would have to trim or roll the lip.

Of course I know every Mav is different :D so what doesn't work one car very well might work on another.

Had 275/60/15 on my first Mav with about the same clearance as Ray. No issues but the back spacing is the deciding factor. Pretty sure the MT's come in 255/60/15 also if memory serves. They'd be a bit shorter tire for your gears. I get 27" and 28" for the 255 and 275 tires.

I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING DARREN ON THE 255-60'S. I HAVE TO BE CAREFUL ABOUT TIRE SIZE SINCE IM RUNNING A VERSAILLES REAR END

ANYONE HAVE A PICTURE OF THEIR CAR WITH THEM ON IT?

My wheels are 4.5 b/s but my entire rear end is 1" wider than factory. My wheel lips are rolled but they were already rolled when I got the car. Even if they were not rolled I would still have clearance, just not as much. I said I have 1/2" on the outside but that was being conservative. Actually closer to 3/4". If you wanna be safe and take the chicken way out go with the little tires! :D

so what's the overall length of your rear end? Because it sounds like the same dimensions as my versailles rear (roughly 58" from outside to outside)

Here's a 255/60 on a 15x8 with 4 3/4 BS with a 9 inch thats from a 69 Mustang that is 1 1/2 inch wider so that might be right were you are with the Lincoln rear. The 255 vs 275 very little difference go to Mickey Thompson web site to compare maybe this will help.
