I've got the long drip rail removed on both sides but how do I remove the small piece above the back window? The only reason I'm having to remove all the railing is because there is caulking down the seam behind the drip rail!! I've spent the last 2 days removing all of it and repairing down to the back windows. Any help here would be greatly appreciated!!

Are you talking about the stainless trim on the drip rail?

the "calking" you are talking about is "seam sealer". if you are not going to shave the drip off, you will need to put this back. it needs to be a "water tight seal". there is a body seam there and it will let water in behind the headliner.:yup: you can get it at a body shop supply store...frank...:bouncy:

    Thanks for the replies!
I knew that there was supposed to be seam sealer behind the drip rails but sometime later caulking had been added to it filling the rail up about 1/2 inch deep. Rust was behind all this so I needed to remove the stainless trim to get to the rust.
The piece I'm talking about is the small rail at the back seat that curves down to the window. You can't get behind it because it widens out to fill the gap.
I'll try to insert a pic so you guys will know what I'm talking about.

    Thanks again!!

I'm just takeing the shiney stainless part off. I'm leaveing the drip rails themselves as my car will be a daily driver and will sit outside. They will be painted body color. I'm planning to paint the car satin black for now...

The paint stick method is way better because it dosent pry on the face of the trim.

That "seam sealer"...I removed it from behind both front fenders all along the area right in front of the doors. I POR-15'd both sides, and went extra thick in the seams. Should I still re-apply the sealer in these areas?

Sorry, a little off-topic, but "seamed" like a good place to "stick" it in :D
