Does your C4 trans mount in a different place when hooked up to your V8? If so, just get yourself one from an original V8 4 door Maverick or Comet. Someone on the board might have one for you :)

Your driveshaft should fit. The distance between the rear end to transmission didn't change

so far I've found that all 4 drs. (6-8) are the same and all 2 drs. (6-8) are the same.
the stock drive shaft in my car has been behind a...C-4...T-5...AOD...and a 700R4 ...250...302...306...308...347...'05 LSX...all with no mods to the driveshaft.:yup:

thanks all now to another question .... is there a step up to a better shaft like an aluminum out of a mustang that would be lighter and hold up better? thanks again
