drum to disc

    hey i was wondering what the easiest way to change the front brakes from drum to disc would be for my 74 maverick. i am just wondering what most people usually do. aight thanks

    find a 75-77 maverick, any granada or monarch and rob everything from spindle out plus proporationing (sp.) valve. then drop by the parts store and pick up a set of brake hoses and tie rod ends from the donor car. may also need new rotors and calipers depending on the condition of the used ones. there's also a technical article write-up on here as well. hope this helps :)

    I took the complete spindles from a '76 parts car. Put them on my Maverick. Got a couple of unions and some steel brake line to create a 180 degree bend while keeping the original drum brake steel lines. Connected the brake lines, bled brakes, called it a day. Car is a daily driver driven in all weather without any issues.
