Might it be worth to put Duraspark ignition in the mav???

My teacher told me that in the 80's some Chevy guys would get Duraspark III modules and turned on the barometric sensor to have more power when racing in the 1/4. Is this true???

They are a stock bolt-in replacement using mid 70s to early 80s hardware, a little hotter ignition and get rid of the points and condenser.
There are several versions, so look carefully at what you get.
