has anyone here actually tried to dye their vinyl seat? ive got a nicer blue "flight" bench seat that i would like to put in my '75 but it has black interior, so ive thought about using the Duplicolor dye from Advance on the seat to see how it turns out. ive used it on other products with great results, just didnt know about seats... :)

I have used it a few times, never had any luck with it on parts that see wear.

Same here. Great in my back seat that is never sat in, not so perfect else where.

I have used SEM products on a set of bucket seats. From green to a lite tan. Worked very well....did not wear off. This was a daily driver.

Although I haven't used it on seats or other vinyl that sees a lot of wear, I have used the SEM on my interior panels and it works fantastic, I would highly recommend it. Hope it works on the seats as well!

I got my stuff at an auto body supply store.

You may also ask them about vinyl dye. You put it on with a foam brush and the vinyl soaks it in.

SEM all the way. With the right prep it will last forever. I buy mine online. I always use their clear over the color coat also.
